Josh Gould is Department Manager for Con Edison’s Utility of the Future group and leads its “Innovation Hub”, a team tasked with finding and implementing innovative solutions to help the company achieve its objectives. Prior to joining Con Edison in 2015, he led the Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy (ARPA-E) approach to commercializing power systems technology. Prior to ARPA-E, he founded Gould Energy Storage, a firm that helped client Southern California Edison write the winning proposal for what was – at the time – the world’s largest lithium-ion grid storage battery. He holds a B.A. from Claremont McKenna College, where he graduated magna cum laude, and an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. He serves as a judge for PowerBridge New York, a program to accelerate commercialization of university-based, clean energy technology.
