Scott Bolton

Senior Vice President, External Affairs and Customer Solutions
PacifiCorp

Scott Bolton sees the rapidly evolving energy industry as a catalyst for improving how Pacific Power customers live and work. He has devoted most of the last two decades to working with leaders in government, businesses (large and small), and anyone with a stake in a cleaner, more economically robust future to help tackle broad-based challenges involving energy policy, economic competitiveness and clean transportation.

Currently he leads PacifiCorp’s External Affairs and Customer Solutions organization where he brings together a diverse set of government relations, marketing, customer account management, and community affairs experts to innovate and advocate for customers. From promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy for everyone, to solving complex public policy issues, Scott focuses on helping customers – not only as consumers of electricity, but as people with families and jobs who want to thrive in their communities.

Prior to joining PacifiCorp in 2004, Scott worked as a senior manager for a large Oregon public affairs firm; as director of government and regulatory affairs for the broadband services division of a Fortune 100 company; and as a congressional aide for U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden.

He serves on a number of business and non-profit boards, including Oregon Business and Industries, Portland Business Alliance, Lloyd Enhanced Service District, and the Pacific Northwest Utility Conference Committee (chair). As a former intelligence analyst in the

U.S. Army and the Oregon Army National Guard, he serves as PacifiCorp’s representative to the Employers in Support of the Guard and Reserves program which helps employees transition between military service and civilian life.
